Staying Inspired

I miss Oprah.

Luckily, I don't have to miss her much longer because we're getting DirecTV on Wednesday!

Since she started her new cable channel, I've had to get my little bursts of inspiration from O Magazine.  Thanks to O Magazine....I'm having more sex.

In February's issue of O Magazine they are celebrating creativity and asked four people to answer a few questions.  I decided to answer them here since I consider myself to be very creative.

Feel free to answer these questions on your own blog or in the comment section...I'd love to hear your answers.

I'm most creative when.....it's cold outside and I just want to hunker down and be a homebody.  I'm also very creative when I'm thinking about my children's birthday parties.  I love a good party!

If I were a color, I'd be....turquoise blue.  It's a bright happy color that compliments so many other colors.

I often imagine myself.....writing in a bright kitchen with large windows, it's practically a premonition.

I really wish I knew how to.....knit.

I'd love to spend a lazy Sunday....lounging in bed with the newspaper, CBS Sunday Morning and lots of coffee.  Writing in a my journal and watching sappy romcom movies while my family makes me breakfast in bed....eggs benedict!  Then taking a long walk without a jacket.  Sit on the patio with a cold beer and my husband while the kids play with a giant pink ball.

My secret talent is....hand sewing squares of fabric into a quilt.  The patterns come to me in dreams.....

Disclaimer: O Magazine didn't pay me to write about them....I just enjoy sharing things I love with my friends.

  6. Learning to knit is really easy! Keeping up with it was my problem. And now I need to re-learn how to knit. :)

  8. I'm not creative.

I think I like red but I don't know why. I just do.

I imagine myself rich. Maybe one day...

I wish I knew how to get skinny quick.

I'd love to spend a lazy Sunday sleeping. I'm so tired today.

My secret talent is what happens behind closed doors.

  9. That is a very specific Sunday, sounds lovely though. I am most creative when it's cold too, but I think it is because the cold coordinates with all of th good holidays that are fun to make things for.

  10. I am pretty in sync with you, except for missing Oprah, and quilting.
But your other answers are seriously my answers.
I think we could be good room mates.

  11. Love it, especially the pink ball! I have always wanted to learn how to knit but the two times I tried to learn I was just terrible. I guess I need a really patient teacher :)

  13. I am most creative: When I have no time to actually do whatever it is I just thought of trying.
If I were a color: I'd be red or a black and white combo.. or gray.
I often imagine myself: as Oprah with my own talk show asking thousands of questions.
I really wish I knew how to: get more done in a day and keep my sanity.
I'd love to spend a lazy Sunday on a beach with a patron margarita with lots of salt and bad ass tan.
My secret talent: I keep this from myself, so I don't even know what it is.

  14. I don't think of myself as creative even though I like to do creative things.

I often imagine myself winning the lottery. :)

I really wish I knew how to crochet. This should really be remembered how. My grandmother taught me, but if you don't use it you lose it.

I like spending lazy Sunday afternoons reading.

My secret talent is floral arrangements. I don't know how I know how to do it, but I do.
