When Bloggers Become Friends

I've been blogging since July 2007.

When I started, my daughter was just a few months old and I'd been living in Utah for almost a year without making any friends.

I was heavily dependent on my imaginary friends that lived in my computer.

Early on....I met my soul mate.

We found each other because we both posted our menus for the week on our blogs.  We became fast friends and found that we had so much more in common.  We're both very organized and crafty, we both love a good drink and we both love to eat.  We're also both damn cute.

Over the years, she's become one of my best friends.  She's been the shoulder I needed to cry on and even offered to adopt me.  I was the first  and only person that she told that she was trying to get pregnant and I was the first person to know when that test was positive!

Jessica came to Colorado last week to visit her family and she and her little boy came to Denver to see me....and meet MY family!

I'm so happy that the internet and blogging has helped me make so many wonderful friends!

Thank you Jessica for being one of those people.

  8. It really does feel like the place where you can be yourself and depend on other people and know when you close your eyes at night, that you really have great friends.. I love that you got to meet her in person and spend time together. My list of friends I want to meet is growing so long!! You're on it, of course!

  10. A lot of my social life, living in the boonies as we do, and being naturally shy, seems to be bloggy friends. I couldn't survive without them.

  15. Awe! Why you gotta go and make me cry?!

It was SO AWESOME *finally* meeting my internet soul mate!! When I was driving up to Denver, I realized that I wasn't one bit nervous to meet you. I honestly felt like I was meeting my BFF for brunch. I was excited (obviously) but not nervous. It was so comfortable!

Isn't it funny that what brought us together as friends is something we don't do anymore (post menus on our blogs)!! Add that to the list of projects we start and never finish :)

Your family is awesome and so fun and down to earth! We have GOT to meet up again. C-raig was super jealous and I know that he and iKeith would form a bromance if given the chance.

Your friendship is worth more than a million bucks to me and I'm so glad we're real life friends :)

    Love you!!
