Carving Pumpkins

Happy Halloween!

On Sunday, we had a great time carving pumpkins with Alex. He really got into it and even put aside his pacifier for a short time to get some serious carving done. Calvin assisted Alex in designing the pumpkin. Which would explain why the it has some crazy eye holes.

Calvin and I decided to try out a costume idea....he was dressed as Hugh Heffner. And I was wearing a playboy bunny costume. To bad I am always the photographer.....

Here are our finished pumpkins! I carved the tree pumpkin....have you ever tried to carve a pumpkin in a bustier and 5 inch heels? Note to self: costume idea for next year....Hillary Rodham Clinton!

You may be wondering what Mallory was doing while we were having Halloween fun! She was doing laundry. Poor thing. I see a Cinderella costume in her future....

In case you missed it....I made an awesome loaf of bread this week. And there are only a few more hours to enter my giveaway. Hurry.....

  1. Those ARE some crazy eye holes. I'm always afraid someone's going to lose a digit when Chris and the boys carve pumpkins. Makes me a nervous wreck.

    Happy Halloween!

  4. Those are works of art! We are feverishly following in my parents' "do it at the last minute" footsteps, and haven't carved our pumpkin yet! Chris is going to do it when he gets home. Halloween beat the clock. But in our defense - we couldn't do it last weekend. Our squirrels are merciless and a carved pumpkin's shelf life can be counted in minutes once deposited on the doorstep.

  5. Those design are great! Mine are boring ones with scary faces. I had helpers carving my pumpkins too, the dogs decided that it would be fun to help, they took the guts out of the trash bag and ate them on the carpet!
