Rules For Driving Connie's Truck

12 years ago....I was married to an idiot. He had major problems and the least of these was that he could not take care of a vehicle. He had recently drove his pick up into the ground...no pun intended and I bought a new to me 1990 Ford Escort. I then handed my pick up down to him. But I had rules.

It's really no wonder that our marriage didn't work out because I was clearly a bitch with control issues. Was.

I said WAS!

  1. Those are all great rules. I have only a couple rules:

#1 - Do not mess with the radio! I hate getting in and discovering my husband has switched it to something I hate. If you must defile the radio, at least put it back on my stations so I never know about it.

#2 - Do not adjust my seat! Gah!

Unfortunately, I am the only one who cares about these rules.

  3. Hey, it's your truck so it's your rules. I get that. I'm just going to throw this out there and guess that he didn't.

  4. Is that real? Like you really gave him that list? I dunno...what's controlling about that?
Hm. Maybe I have a problem?

  6. I'm with Deb :) And for Pete's sake, if you turn the radio UP, turn it back DOWN when you're done! That said - I always move Matt's seat when I need to drive his truck - but then, that's because I can't drive half-reclined like he does :)

  7. This is the actual piece of paper I gave him. It was sent to me by a family member who shall remain nameless because of the cease and desist order.

  8. I love this!!! I would so not be able to follow these rules. Check the fluids? no trash? Good thing my forester is not yours ;)

  9. I believe you wrote the note, because it was very funny. And I believe the guy needed the note. What surprises me is that a family member saved it.

  11. I love this. It reminds me of a waiver I made my ex-husband sign before he was my future ex-husband...

  14. OK, I thought it was funny when you "said" you gave him rules. Now I think it is HYSTERICAL that you actually GAVE him a piece of paper with rules (and drawings) on it.
    I LOVE YOU CONNIE!!!
