Review Extravaganza: Dreams Come True

Have you been following along as I recap the year?  I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have and haven't rolled your eyes at me once.  I get a lot of eye rolling here at my house so it's nice to know that I'm accepted for my quirkiness here.  If you just rolled your eyes....don't tell me, just carry on.

I'm joining Emmy Mom and her gang of friends to recap the last three months and to have five wishes goals for 2013.  As some of you old long time readers know....I live for the beginning of the year and love making New Years Resolutions!

OCTOBER

I discovered that I'd accidentally been stalking an Italian Flag Thrower.

I heckled a Democrat.

*October was a sad month here in Denver....there aren't very many happy posts*

NOVEMBER

We went on a whirl wind Florida vacation!

It was a Thanksgiving we'll never forget!  FRANKENTURKEY!

DECEMBER

I was a rockstar....for one night.

I added TOOTH FAIRY to my Linked In resume.

I was a cake judge at a Chocolate Festival.

I took my daughter to The Nutcracker for the first time.

The guy in front of me in line at Target was having a 50 Shades Christmas.

My husband got the sweetest gift from our son.

Connie's Five Goals for 2013

And now an announcement!!  I will be blogging The Bachelor: Sean complete with drinking game.  I will also be stalking looking for Sean when I visit Dallas in March.  Subscribe if you don't want to miss it.

  1. Your amazing December totally made up for October :)

I've loved reading your recaps. Isn't it fun to see where you've been and what you've done?

Read 40 books? Yauzers. Read 4 books would be my goal. I love reading, but clearly not enough to find time to do it or else I would have read more this year. That's a good goal. Maybe I'll steal this from you :)

  2. Lol, that 50 shades Christmas was awesome. The 20 items on your Foodie list sounds like a really fun goal! And my secret to reading tons of books in a year? The potty. That's right-you know it, I know it. It's the best place to get some reading done. ;-)

  4. Is it really time for The Bachelor again?!? Man, time is flying.

I hope you get to read your 40 books! You've got some pretty high aspirations, my friend!

  5. It's been a great year re-cap!

Amen to losing 20 and not finding them again. Dieting is too dang hard to keep losing the same weight. I still need to read the book I won from you. I need to get my husband his own Kindle. He has stolen mine and I've resorted to watching bad television. :)

  6. OMG I died laughing about Frankenturkey! Not a good thing to do at work... I mean at home... that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :)

  8. I can't wait to see all of your knitting creations. I wish I knew how to knit. I can crochet, but not knit. Might need to add that to my to do list! :)

  10. 40 books!? Shaka lacka! I love the heckling.. I need to lose weight too- its an every day, every month, every year kind of goal that I totally suck at.

  11. maybe you can knit shoes for your children that don't need to be tied?

you always have a great outlook and beautiful joyful anticipation of the days to come!

Happy New Year to you Connie! I have a feeling there are goals you will reach that you are not even yet aware of!!

    xo

(ps...my husband lost 60 pounds with the book The 17 Day Diet and Bob Harpers workout DVD. He has struggled his whole life with his weight and he has been able to change and maintain his entire lifestyle to a reasonable goal. And for what it is worth...I think you happen to look pretty perfect and awesome just the way you are. Skinny is over rated.)

  12. Oh I need to teach my kids to tie their shoes also! Lucas is in second grade and doesn't know- but other than his soccer kleets all his shoes are strap- even his Sunday shoes! I am adding that as a goal too. Plus I am going to shoot for reading 12 books this year- one a month is all I should do if I don't want to neglect my family too much as I totally get lost in books!

So glad you recapped with us, thanks again :)
