My Ears Are Bleeding!

Bobbi has the day off today because she has to work on Saturday. So I made her asked her if she wanted to go to Joann's with me and the kids and then to lunch. We had a lovely time and managed to distract the children enough that they were not aware that this Mc Donalds had a play area.  I wasn't interested in a free dose of swine flu.

On the way home....we sang a little ditty.  Mallory flipped her lid...scream at us to stop singing and then Alex said we were making his ears bleed.  I have no idea where they get their dramatics from .  Here's what we were singing.

By the way....I found my notebook! It was in my tote where I keep my unread magazines....I took it to my sick bed last weekend and stashed it in there for safe keeping. It was so safe I couldn't find it.

Also...day two of getting up and getting ready with REAL clothes and make up....working out GREAT!

I hope you're having a great Tuesday!

I can't imagine why any child would have a problem with such a classic musical piece.

  4. I've always wondered when our kids would realize that we couldn't sing, or at least my kids.

  5. Mock, ya, ing, ya, bird, ya! Lol. I knew exactly what they were singing before I even pushed play! But of course I pushed play anyway. It's a must! That movie cracks me up.

I thought your name was Mary Samsonite!! That's what it said on your suitcase! lol

  6. Lol. When I was little my mom and older brother and sister would sing "home again, home again, jiggity jig," every time we would be nearly home and it PISSED ME OFF every time. I would freak out and they would just keep on, and laugh at me. It was just such a stupid saying.

It's a family joke now. And I do the same thing to my son now sometimes, only it's the theme from the cartoon "Kipper". I sing it lounge singer style.

  7. Yes! My sister and I sing the Mockingbird ditty too! Classic!
So glad that you found your notebook. I am constantly losing mine. Lost one at Wal-mart, one at Safeway, one in my house somewhere. Ugh.

  9. When my little guys are tired and put out and someone is having a good time, i.e. singing - they want everyone to be quiet - kind of like jabbing a finger until everyone feels just like they do! It's their way of saying, "Hey, I'm put out - can someone help me here."

  14. My kids never let me sing. They always scream. Always have. And I have no idea why. I may not be American Idol material - but I'm not bad!

  19. Too funny - making his ears bleed!
At least my kids and I liked the same music. We all used to sing really loud to songs together.
However, I really cannot stand the movie Dumb & Dumber, so I HAD to turn off the video immediately!!
Glad you found your notebook, it's always in the last place you look - isn't that the stupidest saying?
Have a great rest of the week!
