Spring Break

We're having a great time in Dallas on Spring Break!  It's been 5 years since I've been home and I missed it so much.  The kids are loving all of the dogs and cats to play with.  Between my parents and I sister they have 5 cats and 5 dogs. Alex has been worn out every night after playing outside in the yard and throwing balls!

Grandpa even put the kids to work.

We drove straight here from Denver.  800 miles and 14 hours in the car.  We discovered that we're too old to do this and also eating Sonic at 8pm is a bad idea too.  We've changed our plans slightly and will be taking TWO days to come home.

I've got more to show you but that will have to wait until I get back.

  2. I could never handle a car ride that long. I'd be stiff as a board!

  4. My parents would stage an intervention if I didn't come home for five years. ;o) However, I do understand the reluctance to drive 800 miles - we had a 14 hour drive from Florida to Memphis that we would make at LEAST 3 times a year. It was miserable!!

  5. 14 hours in a car is insane! With children it is a miracle!

  6. Sooo, we just drove to Seattle {about a 4 1/2 hour drive}, and I thought that was crazy. We are definitely not a road trip family . . . yet! :) Sounds like you had a GREAT trip!

  7. Yes 14 hours is way too long! We often even break up our 9 hour drive to Utah now

  8. That's WAY TOO LONG. I swear, it seems like Myya and I JUST got out of the car from the Utah trip. That road trip is really sticking with me.
