It's Not So Bad

Today, is the 2 year anniversary of our family returning to Denver from our hardship tour in Utah.

It's been a great two years and we're so pleased with how things are going.  The kids are happy, we're all healthy and we love being in our hometown!

The thing I didn't see coming was that we'd still be in this apartment.  The day we moved in....I swore we'd get out as soon as humanly possible.  That time hasn't come.

There are really only a few minor inconveniences at this point and we love our low rent because it allows us to travel more.  Did I tell you that we're going to Universal Orlando and Animal Kingdom in November?  We also love the location near a lake,  nearness to our favorite restaurants and shopping and the swimming pool outside our door!

You'll be happy to know that the squirrel population has declined greatly.

Every year since we've moved back, I've taken a picture of the kids at Belmar Park.  I love this tradition!  Look how much they've changed.

  6. not only is it no so bad...but is it OH SO RIGHT.

Having gone through our own ups and downs, highs and lows, small apartments and larger homes...I can PROMISE you this.
A home, is absolutely, as good as the relationships in it!
Bigger is NOT better...no amount of decorating, remodeling, painting, adding on, and furnishing, will ever satisfy the TRUE desire that we all have.

You have the most awesome husband ever...wonderful children...and the ability to see the good in no matter what is thrown your way. Doesn't matter where you live...only that you live it together.

    It is all so beautiful!

  8. I think you've got it all figured out. I'd choose more traveling over a house, too! In fact, this sort of makes me want to sell the farm and move into a tiny condo so I can take more trips! :o)

I love the tradition with the kids. There was a huge jump from 2010 to 2011! Pretty cool!!!

  10. Wow, they have grown so much! I can't believe it has already been two years since you moved back. I am with Sarah, I'd choose more traveling over a house too...in fact we'd like to unload this house and do just that! Happy Anniversary :) And I thought you weren't going to FL...this is so exciting, what happened?!?!?
