A Christmas Carol Train Tour

We had a great day yesterday! Calvin took the morning off from work and we went to see the Disney Christmas Carol Train at the Ogden Union Station. This train is traveling all across the country promoting the movie that is coming out November 6th and this was it's only Utah stop. HERE is a map of all of cities that the tour is visiting.

We got there right as it opened and still had an hour wait to get on the train...I couldn't believe how many people were there. I heard people commenting a couple of times about Alex and Mallory's matching outfits. I think they look cute. Doesn't everyone dress their kids in matching outfits?
Got our ticket! Alex was so excited to be at the train station and Mallory was not impressed. She really just wanted to go home.

The Train is beautiful and is about 7 car lengths long. Inside are items on loan from the Charles Dicken's Museum of London. Another car has animated artwork with scenes from the movie and demonstrations of performance capture technology.




The film stars Jim Carey in multiple roles including Ebenezer Scrooge. It began filming in February 2008 and will be shown in 3D. It looks like a fabulous holiday movie and it made me excited for Christmas!! Only 191 sleeps until Santa comes to visit! I better start planning....

    Looks like you had a wonderful time! I love the kids' matching outfits. It's easier to keep your eye on them when you're in public. I did the same thing with my boys when they were younger.

    Ho fun Connie! I was talking to my friend on the phone and she went up to see that yesterday and there was a 3 hour wait! Yikes!

    It looks like you had fun! Have you ever been to a place called Treehouse? My friend went there instead of waiting in line. She said it's a really fun kind of museum/play place.

    I LOVE the matchy outfits! Mallory is so cute :) Maybe we'll drag ourselves down to Union Station to see the train when it comes our way.

    That looks wonderful. They come to us over Z's birthday weekend....we might have to go check it out. It is so funny that you posted this today, I just started my Christmas To-Do List (figure i need to get a super early jump on it this year since the baby will be coming at Halloween).     I did matching outfits all the time when mine were little. I miss it so much! And that picture of you and your daughter? OMG....so cute! Glad you had a fun day!

    I'm bummed I couldn't make it. I had tentatively planned to visit after work but, ugh....too tired. I'm betting Ogden was Awesome as usual though. The images are adorable of the kiddos. Looks like you've got their 4th of July wear already!

    We spent three years in Layton, and came back to Italy last year, we miss Utah so much!
    Of course my kids love trains, too, so we were regulars at Thomas's yearly events in Heber City.
