Where would you like to be?
I think I've made it pretty clear that we don't feel like we belong in Utah. I've never lived anywhere in my life where my religion was a basis for people talking to me and it's hard to deal with. I'm really concerned for the kids....I don't want them to be excluded or shunned because they are different. Life is hard enough....
I would like to be in Colorado....Denver to be exact.
I love downtown Denver and we are huge Bronco Fans. My hubby has had season tickets with his best friend from childhood for 7 years. He travels to several games every winter.
My favorite place to hike....the Boulder Flat Irons. I once hiked 9 miles here while on a date.
This is my favorite restaurant...The Red Square Bistro. Calvin and I have celebrated our anniversary here twice and ended up pregnant days later...both times.
Here's my dream house...in a fabulous neighborhood. It's only a cool million.
I know my dream will come true....someday.
That house is gorgeous!!! And you are right...your dream to be back in Denver will absolutely come true becasue you want it so badly. Keep putting those intentions out to the universe, girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet memories of Colorado! I went there to visit once and I loved it too. VERY beautiful. That house is to die for!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house! I would love to go to Denver one day. Not to live, just to visit though.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from MamaKats.
I swoon over that kitchen...that is beautiful! I woudn't want to cook in there though, I would want it to stay beautiful all the time. Just stopping in from Mama Kat's.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house!! I would be afraid to let my kids in the front door though. They would have the floors covered in legos and crumbs in about 30 seconds!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. The pics are of Bora Bora. It is my dream vacation. That is one spectacular house. I went to Denver and I loved it. The mountains, the air, and strolling downtown. Take care.

It will happen. I love the natural light in that kitchen. Perhaps you should eat at the Red Square Bistro and then purchase a lottery ticket....?
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Mama Kats...
ReplyDeleteOK...now I want to move to Denver and live in that house and eat in that restaurant and hike in those mountains! Awesome! I can see the attraction!
Thanks for visiting my other blog too. You asked about Southern Belles. I love it b/c it is one of the first reality shows to have a group of 30 something women not sucking face with a bachelor, or washed up rock star, and instead focuses on their personal lives and careers. They have great style and make me laugh. It is a guilt free show to watch. Some of these shows I want to take a hot shower afterwards and scrub my body with steel wool. Take care.

Got my fingers crossed for you! Hope it comes true soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is my dream bedroom! Don't worry, you'll be back there, keep believing and dreaming.
ReplyDeleteIf you build it, it will come!
Colorado was amazing, every time I would drive through there at different times of the year there was always something new and beautiful to see. I hope you get the dream someday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a house! I have never been to Denver but you make me want to go :) Keep wishing and dreaming, it will happen for you!!!
ReplyDeleteThat house is beautiful! Keep dreaming, it will come true, someday.
ReplyDeleteOver from Mama Kat's.
Hi Connie -
ReplyDeleteYour dreams WILL come true. I am so sorry that you have had that experience. It makes me sad. I think you are wonderful!
XOXO
Jen
What a lovely, quaint house... for only a million bones. The simple, quaint ones always cost the most. :-)
ReplyDeleteKeep your eye on the prize!
I totally understand the desire to be somewhere else but not sure how to get there!
ReplyDeleteYour blog cracks me up! Thanks for being so honest. :-)
I can see how living in UT and not being LDS would make you feel like an outsider. If the people there are living up to their religion than your own beliefs should not be an issue as to whether or not they embrace and include you. And that must be SOME restaurant. Since I don't exactly want to get preggo again (I have five already) I think I'll take your word for it that it's magical food! :) Stopping by from Mama Kat's!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome house!!! I love Denver. I grew up in Ft. Collins, and almost want to move back to CO from CA. (Go Chargers!) If my parents weren't still in FoCo, I'd probably end up in Denver or Boulder! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be in that house too. I totally understand about Utah. My best friend in college was not mormon and from there. She HATES mormons now, for no reason other than that she was either pressured or ignored all the way through school. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteHang in there Connie, it will happen sooner or later. I'm with Viv, go to your restaurant and the buy a lottery ticket!
ReplyDeleteOh. that. house! Amazing...the wood floors in that great room are gorgeous! I saw those and forgot all about the rest of your post!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Mama Kat's!
The inside of that house is divine!
ReplyDeleteI hope your dream of moving back to colorado comes true......very soon. Maybe I'll come visit, bring the hubby along, and we'll visit that bistro!! ;)
ReplyDeleteyou know what they say... if you blog it, it will come true ..lol!!
ReplyDeleteI things go in the right direction for you!!
What? Ogden isn't all you hoped for? The day we moved from SLC to Davis County and realized we would now be Ogdenish people since we lived closer there than SLC, I broke down and cried.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get there - it's a great city. And that house, yum.
ReplyDeleteIt will! I totally believe this. Because you really know what you want. And you will find a way to make this happen. It's taking a while - but will serve it's purpose in one way or another (yes - I really CAN put a positive spin on anything - it's one of my talents).
ReplyDeleteI believe in you Connie. 100%
