Once again, I look forward to reading more of your posts. Steady Days sounds great; I'd love to win it. Plus I'm a fast reader and I'll pass it on quickly. You don't want the book to stay in someone's house forever, do you?
I'll be sending you an email requesting your address so I can mail you the book. Everyone...go follow Alyssa so that you can try to win the book when she gives it away on her blog.
Did you watch The Oscars last night? We had so much fun at our friend's party and I drank a little bit too much (I can't drink like I used to when I weighted 25 more pounds) and I've been sick all day! I keep having moments of recollection from the party and I'm afraid that I behaved like a crazy person. At one point I think I offered to breast feed my friends' baby. I hope they weren't offended and invite us back.
I was shocked that Avatar didn't win Best Picture and so pleased that Sandra Bullock won Best Actress! Her dress and her speech were amazing and I also loved Alec and Steve as the hosts. What did you think?
Another question for you....overall, all year (2009) what was your favorite movie? I have THREE...because I can't pick just one.
The Time Traveler's Wife
Julie and Julia
Sex and The City (I've seen it 3 times and bought the soundtrack)
Sadly, I haven't seen any of them. These days seeing a new movie is a rarity. But I would choose the 1st one, b/c Eric Bana is in it and he's delicious.
ReplyDeleteI thought the show was really good this year - I am so glad you had fun at the party, even if it takes a couple days to recover!
ReplyDeleteI am not normally this "type" of movie person but I really liked both The Hurt Locker and District 9 this year - they are definitely near the top of my favorites list (which is short because I haven't seen too many). Julie and Julia was great too! :)
Of that list I only saw Julie and Julia, but I think my favorite movie of last year was Avatar. It was just visually stunning.
ReplyDeleteLet's just say that I think you would be so much fun to have drinks with! :) And I would also have to say that my favorite movie of 2009 was The Proposal! So good and so funny! And I am so happy that Sandra Bullock won, her speach made me cry. Hope you have a better (less hungover day) tomorrow. ;)
ReplyDeleteHello my friend!!! I am glad you had a fun time at your party. I was thinking about you last night while I watched it from my hotel room.
ReplyDeleteI loved those three movies too!!!
XOXO
Jen
I want to know how good a liar you are - check out my blog ;)
ReplyDeleteThis was the first time I watched it from beginning to end, which was a lot of fun. The end was crazy when they ran out of time and didn't even announce the 10 movies that were nominated for Best Picture.
ReplyDeleteYou offered to breastfeed their baby? Hilarious! I'd love to hear if they took it as a joke or were offended!
BTW, I've been reminded a couple of times now why I can't drink too much when I have to work as a mom the next day. I hope you made it through OK!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen anything Oscar nominated that isn't from Pixar. So sad.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had fun at your party, and I love that you're such a giver.
ha!!!

ReplyDeleteMY two favorite movies are on your list...I only saw Sex and the City twice, but must see it again...and Julie and Julia, which was fabulous! Since I like the movies you choose, I must see the third one! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat I should say: Congrats to the book winner!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I am thinking: Crap! I didn't win- now I have to go buy that book!!!
:))))
With a newborn, I did not watch any movies this year that were not kids movies- yes, my life was boring this year.

Oh, thanks...alot!!! Was this up earlier? How come I didn't see it?
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny...actually, that's so ditzy, so me...hmm...Will send my address soon, and thanks, again!
yes...Alyssa...it was. But it was early when you came by this morning.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I haven't seen any of your 3 favorites - I've read the TT's W (LOVE the book!) & I want to see Julie and Julia; S&TC never captured me so I'd pass on that one...didn't Sandra Bullock look FABULOUS? Gorgeous - to look half that good at 46...btw your new profile pic is stunning :)
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that I can't remember much from the 2nd half of the night? I still have red carpet on my floors:) Can't wait for the next reason to celebrate!!
ReplyDeleteLoved Sex & the City - can't wait for #2!
Congrats to Alyssa happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI was also shocked that Avatar didn't win... I thought it was outstanding. It is on my faves list. I also loved District 9 and 2012.
