I'm sitting in the school parking lot eating fried chicken. I'm waiting for my son to get early release from school and then I'm going home to work on posts about my trip...I swear!
Side note: did you read The Rookie Foodie today? I'm so freakin excited!
So...this morning I spent two hours in a meeting with moms from Mallory's class to plan the Holiday Party.
One of the Mom's (actually...it's Mallory's future Mother in law) is disconnected...from the world!
I didn't know there were still people in the world without Internet and phones that don't do anything other than call people.
It's been so long since I've been connected....that I can't remember what it's like not to be.
Do you know anyone that isn't connected?
Really? Such people still exist?!
ReplyDeleteMy sister-in-law and her twin sister do not own cell phones. I thought that was about as archaic as anyone could be these days. They do have Internet when they're at home and work, though, so they're one-up on Mallory's future mother-in-law, I guess! ;)
I don't associate with Those Kinds of People.
ReplyDeleteWeirdos.
My parents. Mom refuses to get internet, I couldn't live life without it. Dad has a plain cell phone just to make calls one.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember. It was a dark, dark time.
ReplyDeleteI don't own an iPhone and I'm not on Facebook. That's as disconnected as I get, I guess :)
ReplyDeleteMy dad owns a cell phone, but never turns it on and never uses it. Ever.
my grandmother was like that
ReplyDeleteWe have friends that still use flip phones. When I send important emails I have to send them via text email. Seriously, get a real phone and a data plan already!
ReplyDeleteI do know a few-- it is not many, but yes it is so weird! Plus it was so weird when I went to the Power of Mom's conference to be one of the few bloggers, it just felt like everyone was and should be.
