Twisters is one of our favorite places from the last time we lived here.
Mallory wore her glasses all day...inside and outside.
A trip to Lowe's to buy a little air conditioner for my room...because iKeith loves me so much and wants me to be able to sleep.
Stopped by Target to get a couple pairs of pants and shorts for Mallory because she just had a growth spurt! And new shoes...because she's outgrown those too. Opps. Left her shoes at the store. We'll be going back today to re-buy them.
Then it was happy hour at The Yard House....
Onion Ring Tower!
Yeah...this budget thing is working out great!
We need to go to money rehab.
Oh dear...I always push those "we shouldn't be spending this money" thoughts to the back of my mind.....

Well, who can resist an onion tower?
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time! That onion ring tower looks amazing, and I just love how in the photo, your daughter looks as if she's just about to topple it over! x
ReplyDeleteBut you had fun, right? You can cut back next weekend.
ReplyDeleteMoney rehab is hard...and sucky
ReplyDeleteI hate money rehab. Looks like a super fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteI too need money rehab. Let's go together so that we can skip it and go shopping instead.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun filled weekend! I love that onion ring tower too. Hey, I just noticed you have a wine/coffee fund. I need to get me one of these!! ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, but think of the money we saved going to that theater! I think the people around us could be a post all to itself... Thanks for going with me!
ReplyDeleteDenise...I just pulled the receipt out of my purse and I spent $9.25 on the nachos and drink!!
ReplyDeleteNext time I'm going to sneak my snacks in...like some yummy chinese food!
Mmmmmmm..onion tower. Glad you had a fun weekend - can't wait to see that movie too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteI missing shopping with little miss Mallory! :(
Oh yum, that Tower looks fabulous (and I just had breakfast).
ReplyDeleteI watched The Expendables with the husband on Sunday (it was good for a Sly Stallone pic) but I'm dying to see Eat, Pray, Love but it's not out yet here.
Don't think of it as breaking your budget, think of it as a one-time, 1st weekend home celebration.
ReplyDeletelove,
Becky Bloomwood
I always sneak in the snacks and will continue to do so until my kid learns she should be embarrassed by me. Anyway, I hate fountain soda and like to pop open a cold can of Diet Doctor Pepper during the opening credits.
ReplyDeleteTook a peek at your money rehab post. Thanks for sharing that link for tracking your spending! I can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteYou all look happy.
ReplyDeleteAs for budget & money rehab, well you all need to get out once in a while, I remember a time when I couldn't even get myself an apple at the grocery store because it was not in the budget.
It will get better. Hugs your way.
(I'm trying to catch up on your blog, so you'll see lots of comments. It's been a l-o-n-g summer!)
