Today, is the 2 year anniversary of our family returning to Denver from our hardship tour in Utah.
It's been a great two years and we're so pleased with how things are going. The kids are happy, we're all healthy and we love being in our hometown!
The thing I didn't see coming was that we'd still be in this apartment. The day we moved in....I swore we'd get out as soon as humanly possible. That time hasn't come.
There are really only a few minor inconveniences at this point and we love our low rent because it allows us to travel more. Did I tell you that we're going to Universal Orlando and Animal Kingdom in November? We also love the location near a lake, nearness to our favorite restaurants and shopping and the swimming pool outside our door!
You'll be happy to know that the squirrel population has declined greatly.
Every year since we've moved back, I've taken a picture of the kids at Belmar Park. I love this tradition! Look how much they've changed.
I am glad that you are happy where you are. That is a really good thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the photo progression... where does the time go?
What a great idea!! They look so cute!
ReplyDeleteThey have grown so much! Happy 2-yearaversary!!
ReplyDeleteThey're as cute as can be! I totally see the perks of having a low rent and using the extra money to travel. Woohoo for Florida!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! They've gotten so much bigger! :(
ReplyDeletenot only is it no so bad...but is it OH SO RIGHT.
ReplyDeleteHaving gone through our own ups and downs, highs and lows, small apartments and larger homes...I can PROMISE you this.
A home, is absolutely, as good as the relationships in it!
Bigger is NOT better...no amount of decorating, remodeling, painting, adding on, and furnishing, will ever satisfy the TRUE desire that we all have.
You have the most awesome husband ever...wonderful children...and the ability to see the good in no matter what is thrown your way. Doesn't matter where you live...only that you live it together.
It is all so beautiful!
they have changed a lot! and good for you for finding the positives in the circumstances. I love your outlook!
ReplyDeleteI think you've got it all figured out. I'd choose more traveling over a house, too! In fact, this sort of makes me want to sell the farm and move into a tiny condo so I can take more trips! :o)
ReplyDeleteI love the tradition with the kids. There was a huge jump from 2010 to 2011! Pretty cool!!!
It would be hard to want to give up the extra fun money. Love seeing pictures like that that show how quickly they change.
ReplyDeleteWow, they have grown so much! I can't believe it has already been two years since you moved back. I am with Sarah, I'd choose more traveling over a house too...in fact we'd like to unload this house and do just that! Happy Anniversary :) And I thought you weren't going to FL...this is so exciting, what happened?!?!?
ReplyDeleteLove the picture taking tradition!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you take a picture of the kids in the same place every year...so cute, and neat to see how much they've grown!!
ReplyDeleteaw sounds like you have made a lovely home and I'll be sure and wave from my backdoor when you get ere to FL in November may even shout a hello
ReplyDeleteI love photo traditions! They are so grown up and I am so happy we are neighbors.
